Bahrain Partner Proposition — For Exporters & Forwarders Worldwide

Your cargo lands in Bahrain.
We take it from there.

For exporters selling into Bahrain on DAP or DDP terms, and the forwarders who move their cargo. You or your forwarder get the shipment to Bahrain, Cargo Line Advisor takes it from arrival to your customer's door.

Try us on one shipmentNo contract. No minimum volume.

We quote the Bahrain side only — and we work alongside your forwarder, never against them.

What we handle in Bahrain

One Bahrain partner for everything after arrival.

Customs clearance

Our own licensed broker files the declaration (Bayan) and manages release. We handle ministry approvals too - some commodities need a site visit or physical inspection, quoted separately.

Regulated products

Food, cosmetics, healthcare and dangerous goods each need specific documents and checks. We prepare them and deal with the authorities, every week.

Duty savings under FTAs

Where your goods qualify, we claim the preferential rate. The US–Bahrain FTA (since 2006) and the GCC–EFTA FTA. We'll apply the UK–GCC FTA as soon as it enters into force.

Importer of record

Selling DDP? We can act as your importer of record in Bahrain, so you don't need a local entity.

Delivery

Our own trucks deliver from port or airport to your customer's warehouse, plus forward trucks for smaller loads.

Chilled cargo

Our own reefer trucks, plus partner reefer capacity through our network.

Duty & VAT

We can pay these on your behalf to keep cargo moving, then re-invoice at cost.

Saudi onward delivery

Our agent at the King Fahd Causeway clears cargo into Saudi Arabia. Routing via Bahrain gets goods to the final warehouse faster than a direct Saudi port.

Tracking

Track your shipment through our own portal, with email updates at every stage.

Routes in

Four ways into Bahrain, so disruption to Gulf shipping doesn't stop your shipment.

Air

Road
King Fahd Causeway, incl. our Turkey–Bahrain road service
Via Aqaba, Jordan
Ship to Aqaba. Our Jordan partner trucks it on to Bahrain

If your forwarder can't get space into the Gulf, ask us about the Turkey or Aqaba routes.

Documents checklist

What every shipment needs

Approved by our customs brokerage team. Regulated goods need extras below.

Core documentWhat it needs
Commercial invoiceDeclared value, buyer and seller, Incoterms, country of origin, invoice date and number, HS code, item description, quantity
Packing listItemised contents, weights and dimensions
HS code sheet (Excel)Mandatory for every shipment
Bill of lading / air waybill / truck detailsProof of shipment; road shipments also need driver details and the export country's customs declaration
Certificate of originMandatory when claiming a free trade agreement, or when the invoice doesn't show origin
Import licence / permitFor regulated or restricted goods
Customs bondTemporary imports only, to guarantee re-export
Insurance certificateOptional
Two invoice rules catch exporters out

Incoterms must appear on the invoice, or customs adds freight charges. On FOB, FCA and EXW terms, the freight charge must be stated.

Goods typeExtra requirements
Food & agricultural productsHealth certificates
Pharmaceuticals & medical devicesNHRA licence; NHRA release email for narcotic products or pills
CosmeticsGMP/ISO certificate, certificate of analysis, certificate of ingredients, clear photos of front and back label text
Dangerous goodsSafety data sheets; chemicals registered through the Sahab ministry portal
Books & reading materialImporter's Excel list with each book's title and author
Standards & metrologyLED lights need a metrology form approved before import; toys need G-Mark, QR codes and the certificate

Most delays come from mismatched values across invoice and packing list, wrong HS codes, permits not secured in advance, incomplete certificates of origin and vague goods descriptions. Send documents before arrival and we check them first.
